All about me!

Hi everyone,

I'm Leanne & I live on Phillip Island. I'm 46 & it's just me & my hubby, at home now. My 2 adult children have both moved out.

I like to keep things simple. I tend to make things from a recipe & adapt them, then make them again from memory.
My preference is healthy food but not too healthy. I'm more into savory than sweet but I like a good dessert, every now & again.

My hubby loves to cook too; so he does a lot of it. In fact he probably should be the one joining this forum. Smile

Our kids still come home for dinner or we go to their place & they cook. They still have their requests, so I must have done something right over the years.

My Sister Janine gave me a cook book which I paste or write old family favorites into, with a history about each dish & how it came to be in my book. My Grandmother & Great Grandmother had one just like it, which we are fortunate to still have. It's amazing to see the differences through time. A lot of it I wouldn't even dream of eating now!!

I'm also Jen's husband Russ's cousin.

Thank you and welcome to the Family Favourites Fan Club.

The book you describe sounds great. My mum also has something similar - she calls it ' Build a Book'. taking recipes from magazines or adding her own creations too it. But having one that holds all the old family recipes would be definately something.
