Ideas for Beef Mince?
Any ideas for beef mince? I'm thinking Shepard's Pie but I'm open to suggestions. Preferably something simple; that I'm likely to have the ingredients for or can adapt.

Home made pasties.
I attempted home made pasties for the first time a few nights ago... they are simple to make and very tasty.
I used.
6 or more sheets of puff pastry ( i used 6 and still had mixture left.)
500g lean mince
half sweet potato
4 sml red rascal potatoes
4 stalks of celery
4 large carrots
1 cup peas
fresh chopped parsley and a little fresh sage ( only because i had it.)
salt and pepper to taste
a little curry powder to taste
a dash of maggie seasoning ( if unsure what this is - it is like a very light soy sauce, helps give a savoury flavour boost.)
Get out your pastry
Finely dice all your veggies,
brown your mince and season with herbs and seasonings
stir through your veggies and allow mixture to cool.
Pre heat oven to about 200c or 180c if fan forced,
cut pastry sheets into four, add about 2 tbls of mixture, fold two opposite corners in and press to seal, then fold in the other corners and press to seal.
pierce two little holes in top of each to allow steam to vent.
brush with a little egg wash and cook in oven till golden brown.
Please note you can use any veggies you like. Good way to use up what needs to be eaten.

Thank you both for the replies. They both sound yummy & easy & I'm planning on trying them soon. It was Shepherd's Pie at my house tonight because I think I need to get to & follow the thread on stocking your pantry. lol Not even a vegetable in my house tonight!
